TABLEWARE COLLECTION
Virgo Studio new collection of porcelain tableware Love is the Answer features three illustrations in rich colours by artist and graphic designer Helmi Arrak, each depicting a unique facet of love, complementing them with glassware - tumblers and jugs, playfully designed by glass artist Maarja Mäemets.
Handcrafted in Estonia, each piece in this collection is a unique product of the collaboration between local artists and skilled artisans.
CANDLE COLLECTION
Our first project was called The Enchanted Garden and featured exclusive rapeseed wax candles poured in porcelain jars that were designed by ceramics artist Ene Raud and illustrated by artist and fashion designer Anu Samarüütel, launched in November of 2019. Our candles contain only pure rapeseed wax and two organic hemp wicks. Each piece was handcrafted with much love and great effort in a small studio in Tallinn.
PLATES COLLECTION
Virgo Ceramics first tableware collection Splendid Feast was illustrated by the brand’s founder Anna Karboinova and reflects her love for hosting dinner parties and creating stylish tabletops. The collection embodies unity of Anna’s favourites: Nordic minimalism meets the splendid southern harvest, creating luxurious contemporary ceramic pieces. Six different illustrations in collage technique surprise and add to your meal a festive twist. At Virgo Ceramics, we believe that beauty should be celebrated and appreciated on every occasion - be it a cosy lunch by yourself or a glamorous dinner with your loved ones.
SPECIAL PROJECT: VIRGO CERAMICS X OCCO
Collaboration with interior design company OCCO - a special collection of candles. Inspired by iconic design pieces together with cute animals and plants that carry us to stylish, cosy and happy place. Illustrations by Helmi Arrak, ceramic design by Ene Raud-Mägi, hand-poured by Triinu-Liis Rahe.
VASES COLLECTION
Sea Curves, the second collection by Virgo Ceramics, presents vases in three different designs: “Wave”, “Whisper”, and “Flow”. Drawing inspiration from mythology and nature, the pieces tell the story of the ancient goddesses of the sea in a new way: daring, sensual, and modern. Influenced by sea shells, the shapes of the vases evoke the flowing lines of a female body and the ever-changing patterns and curves of sea waves. Just as if being on the wave crest, catching whispers of the wind in the eternal flow. All pieces were designed and handmade by Estonian ceramics artist Ene Raud.
DESSERT SPOONS AND BOWLS COLLECTION
The exclusive mini collection of Trick the Birds amuse-bouche spoons and Taste the Magic dessert bowls was designed and handcrafted by ceramic artist Ene Raud and created specifically for Virgo Ceramics with a touch of gold. The shape of the bowls were inspired by the wind, the rocks and the sea. It is all about playing with contrast and movements. The shape of the spoons was inspired by the delicate oat flowers that grow in the fields of Ene’s home farm in Saaremaa, Estonia. The spoon was developed together with professional chefs and has been tested in restaurant environment.
